First Celebrity Sighting

I forgot to mention that I attended my first LA event on Friday April 15 when I saw ‘Family Guy Live’ at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. The entire cast was on hand to perform a live ‘table read’ of a classic Family Guy episode “When You Wish Upon A Weinstein”. The audience was also treated to a sneak peek of the first new FG episode in over three years, to be broadcast on Fox this Sunday May 1. A grand time was had by all.

There were FG-related celebs there, of course (including Seth ‘Scott Evil’ Green), but the sighting I’m chalking up as my first happened later that evening outside Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles, on Gower just off Sunset in Hollywood. While I was waiting for a table I noticed a guy who had his beard trimmed in such a way that it made him look like Jack Black. A few minutes more of trailer-trash staring confirmed it in my mind; this was indeed the star of ‘School Of Rock‘ standing ten feet away.

Of course my camera’s battery had been spent at the Family Guy event and I had left my cameraphone in the car, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.

Remember me?

Sorry about all the inactivity of late; rest assured that all that time was spent in worthwhile pursuits.

It pleases me to say that I have lately been thinking about my spiritual well being iin ways that I haven’t experienced in many many years. Laura is a wonderful Christian woman who I first knew in the Heirship days back in the ’70s. We have miraculously reconnected after all these years, and have been writing to one another via instant messenger and email, and have even been talking to each other via Skype every day. Our conversations have really awakened in me a hunger to return to that ‘new creation’ state from which I have managed to wander away over the years. It’s an exciting time for me, and I couldn’t be happier about it, as I’m sure most of you, dear readers, are as well.

Also speaking of Heirship, there is a link in the right column that will lead you back to the old Heirship web pages. They haven’t been updated in several years, and there are a few broken links, but please take a look at them if you have the inclination.

Sailing, sailing…

Here’s a slideshow of a not-so-pleasant day of sailing on the Bay – a sailboat sinks near the Golden Gate Bridge.

Coolest Sweetest…Clock…Ever

The clock you see below was designed by George Nelson in the 1950′s
and has become an icon of modern design. It sells for $250 on eBay.

The clock below would cost far less to make yourself.

But I’d guess you’d have to watch out for the ants!
