When President Obama was a senator, he voted in vain against the confirmation of John Roberts asSupreme Court Chief Justice.
Today, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts got his revenge.
Roberts has never administered the oath of office to an incoming president, so I can’t for the life of me understand the apparently cavalier way he handled this most ‘holy’ of our country’s rites. Did he think it was not necessary to have a printed version of the presidential oath of office in front of him? Did he think it would make him look better if he seemed to have it memorized?
In any case, he either can’t read, forgot his lines, or purposely flubbed it, which caused Obama to look like an ignoramus. Even trying to correct himself, Roberts still got it wrong, and Obama finally repeated Robert’s first version. Now constitutional scholars think it’d be a good idea for Obama to RETAKE THE OATH as it is specifically worded in the Constitution, just to make sure all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed.
I think John Roberts is a buffoon; many people are saying that it’s not the first time he’s ignored the Constitution.
