We’re here! And feeling like a flea in the middle of a superhighway as
the trucks go hurtling by at 80 MPH. Pretty insignificant.

The Grand Canyon!
The Damn Dam
Here’s the back side of Hoover Dam. It’s the first place at which we
had a chance to pull over that they didn’t charge to park. Sorry, no
pics of the classic view. Off to the Grand Canyon!
A Day At The (Wax) Museum
Mom was in town for the Mother’s Day weekend, so we were out doing some fun touristy stuff; among them, a visit to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Hollywood! Enjoy the show!
Facebook and Your Privacy (or Lack Thereof)
Facebook has been getting creepier by the day about how they’re altering the privacy settings on profiles. Sometimes I think they’re just pushing the envelope to see how far they can go. Have you heard about Facebook Connections? It’s almost impossible to find any information about it on Facebook itself, but the Electronic Frontiers Foundation has done a lot of research about just what ‘Connections’ means to the average Facebook user. I’ve taken most of the personal information out of my profile, and blocked access to what’s left to ‘friends’. But this move is making me seriously consider the wisdom of having a profile at all.
Read the EFF article and decide for yourself.
Laundry Room Etiquette
Apropos of absolutely nothing, here’s a virtual conversation that would be of interest to those of you who, like myself, are fated to share common laundry facilities with fellow tenants of your apartment complex.
So you’re doing your laundry, you’re on your first load with a couple of others waiting by the front door. When your first load is due to be done, you take your next load down to find that someone has put a basket of their dirty laundry in front of the washing machine, as if to say ‘I’m next’. However, the owner of the basket is nowhere to be seen.
What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO??
